Health & Safety
regarding COVID-19
While hospitalization rates have remained low in Alameda County recently, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists anywhere where people gather. Given its contagious nature that can lead to serious illness and death, we’ve seen the necessity for taking precautions against the COVID-19 spread.
That said, per current CDC mandates, the Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts does not require masks, proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID test to enter the building. Individual events or organizers may institute and enforce their own health & safety policy, in which case, requirements will be shared on the event’s ticketing page.
Regardless, masks are recommended for all events, and we encourage guests to get vaccinated and stay boosted against COVID-19.
The CDC recommends wearing non-vented respirators, such as an N95/KN95, KF94 respirators, or well-fitting surgical masks with a cloth mask over it. Scarves, ski masks, bandanas, and other coverings with only a single layer of fabric, or any unfiltered mask with one-way exhaust are not recommended. Learn more about CDC mask recommendations here.
